Job Opportunities Postdoctoral Scholar: CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. The Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering seeks a postdoctoral scholar to conduct research in polymer chemistry. A strong background in experimental chemistry is required, with at least two year’s experience with polymer synthesis. The project is to synthesize and evaluate polymers and gels for application in oil and gas production. Those with hands on experience with synthesis of novel polymers will be considered first. The initial appointment is for one year and may be renewed in one-year increments for a maximum of one additional year. The annual starting salary is $38,000. Applicants should have completed all requirements for a Ph.D in Chemistry or other related field.
