Education:
-Ph.D. Chemical Engineering, University of Colorado
-Engineering Diploma, INSPC, France

Research Interests:
Dr. Friedmann is a consultant attached to PEER Center. His current research interests are related to oil reservoir simulation, specifically the construction of meta-surfaces using data support based on novel types of design of experiments. These surfaces are simple analytical proxies relating the output of complex oil reservoir simulators on key inputs. These proxies can then be used to perform uncertainty calculation on the output in lieu of the time consuming reservoir simulator. Dr. Friedmann has also extensive expertise in enhanced recovery processes, using surfactants(chemical flooding and foams for sweep improvement), steam and gas injection (hydrocarbon gas and CO2). He has published over 30 papers on these topics. He is also the co-author of 4 patents.
